Thank You for a Successful 2011 Conference!
The 2011 CASC Conference was a huge success and we wish to thank everyone who participated including the CASC Board of Directors, the organizing and program committees, Dr. James Delgado (keynote speaker), all of the delegates and presenters from across Canada, and all sponsors for their generous support. Science North welcomed over 128 delegates from more than 60 organizations.
Delegates in attendance were treated to a great program of daytime and evening workshops, activities, and receptions that showcased the Changes that are occurring in science centres across Canada. To top it all off, Science North's staff and volunteers delivered a dazzling show for delgates during the CASCADES National Awards Gala Dinner, by creating maple-flavoured liquid nitogen ice cream at each table!
Mark your calendars for next year's conference, May 3-5, 2012, in Ottawa, hosted by the Canada Science and Technology Museum.

Change
The theme for CASC’s 2011 Conference is Change, a constant in the science centre field. Science and technology are constantly changing, our audience demographic is changing, and our workforce is changing. How are we meeting these challenges of change across all facets of our organizations?
Conference Profile
The 9th Annual Conference will be hosted by Science North in Sudbury with anticipated attendance of more than 100 delegates. This 3-day conference will include a pre-conference activity, more than 20 learning sessions, a keynote speaker, and events including a welcome reception, a trade show (Friday, June 10) and the national awards gala dinner (Saturday, June 11).
All events are geared towards facilitating practical innovations in the development, delivery and support of science engagement activities. Individuals from all areas of informal learning are welcome to participate.
